What is Moussecakes?
Moussecakes is an online patisserie specialising in French pastries and trompe l'oeil cakes: little works of art that look like fruit or other objects but are made entirely of the finest patisserie. Besides our web shop, our creations are also available at selected partner locations across the Netherlands.
How do I order a mousse cake?
You can easily order our cakes online in our web shop. You can also pick them up at one of our selected partner locations. Check our website to see which partners are near you.
Can I change or cancel my order?
As long as your order has not been shipped, you can always change or cancel it. Contact our customer service at info@moussecakes.com.
Can I order for my business?

How do I store my mousse cake?
Keep your mousse cake in the fridge at 2 to 6°C. Not eating them straight away? Then preferably leave them in the fridge. Take the cake out about 10 to 15 minutes before serving for the best taste. Once opened, the cake keeps for at least 2 more days.
How long do the mousse cakes keep?
Enjoy pure freshness! To guarantee top quality, the cakes keep for 4 days in the fridge. Want to keep them longer? No problem: they freeze very well so you can enjoy them later.
Are the mousse cakes suitable as a gift?
Absolutely! Our cakes come in a handcrafted cake box, which makes them a beautiful gift. Surprise someone with a unique and tasteful present for a birthday, a holiday or just because.
Are your products suitable for food allergies?
We use animal gelatine in our products. Please note: our pastries are not vegan, as we also use milk powder and cream, among other things. For each flavour we have a separate nutrition page with all allergen information. Click the image of the flavour you want to see the full ingredient list, nutritional values and allergens.
Are the mousse cakes vegetarian?
No, our mousse cakes are not vegetarian. We use beef gelatine, so they are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
Are the mousse cakes halal?
Yes, we only use halal ingredients for all our mousse cakes. We pay close attention to this when selecting all our raw materials, so you can enjoy them with peace of mind.
SHIPPING
How are the cakes shipped chilled?
Our cakes are delivered by a private courier, so no PostNL or DHL. Because our pastries are very fragile, they are transported chilled and with the greatest care, so they arrive in perfect condition.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs €4.95. For orders from €134 shipping is free.
What happens if my package arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, contact us right away by email with a photo of the damage. We will arrange a suitable solution as quickly as possible, either a new delivery or a refund.
How fast are the mousse cakes delivered?
Order Monday to Friday before 17:00? Then your order arrives the next day.
Order after 17:00? Then your order is delivered within two working days.
Different times apply at the weekend:
Ordered Saturday before 17:00 = delivered Monday
Ordered Saturday after 17:00 = delivered Tuesday
Ordered Sunday before 14:00 = delivered Monday
Ordered Sunday after 14:00 = delivered Tuesday
Please note: we do not deliver on Sundays.
RETURN POLICY
Can I return my order?
Because our cakes are freshly made and kept chilled, orders unfortunately cannot be returned. Every product is put together and packed with the greatest care to guarantee quality. Not happy with your order? Get in touch and we will find a solution together.
What if I am not happy with my order?
Your satisfaction comes first. Not happy? Contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. We look at every report personally and find a suitable solution together.
How do I request a refund?
Email our customer service with your order number, a description of the problem and a photo if possible. We aim to reply within 24 hours and to process any refunds within 5 to 7 working days.
What if my order was not delivered?
Did you not receive your order on the expected delivery date? Contact us right away at info@moussecakes.com and we will find a solution together.
